Sasha Bjerken Cohen (b. 2003, New York City) is an artist concerned with the phenomena of corporeality. He earned a B.A. from Bennington College in sculpture, writing, and dance.

Via the method of drifting through space to explore how a place is constructed, as well as how it makes us feel, Bjerken’s work depicts the impressions environments have on the body.

His mark-making renders distinctions between cartography, calligraphy, and gesture, architectural palimpsest, planning, and figuration ambiguous. Recently, his work obfuscates interval markings through the process of layering with improvisations and scores.

Currently he is assisting and sharing a studio with sculptor Mia Westerlund Roosen in upstate, NY.
